Meet Taryn

There are artists that can stick to one thing, and then there's me...I've always had a love for all things creative. From art to acting I had to have my hand in a little bit of everything. But as I got older, got married, had kids all those things that made me feel alive got pushed aside. I started to feel stagnant and stale. So, at the age of 44, I decided to go back to night school for landscape architecture while working full time and rearing my three wild boys. That was the beginning of me realizing I was created to create. There was sketching involved, design and even coloring. Strolling through Michael's one day, I grabbed some paint, brushes, canvas and began throwing paint--literally. The pouring paint movement was taking off and I really wanted to try it. I fell in love with the fluid expression because it pushed me beyond the surface. It pulled me into this visual journey of discovery that was freeing, spontaneous and honest. I could lay down some burdens or kick up the joy. To create is a breath of fresh air that  stirs my soul and refreshes me.

I create with my spirit and my hands, so know that when you purchase a piece, my feelings are poured out all through it. It's a porthole to a place of tranquility, optimism and bliss that overflow into the deep recesses of my heart. In other words, you've purchased  a whole lot of love.

INSIDE SCOOP

Love the water. Hate to fly. Love dogs. Cats are okay but allergic. I am a certified scuba diver but will only dive in warm clear water--basically the Caribbean or Hawaii; Love the heat--80 degrees or higher for me please; Dark chocolate over milk chocolate. No white chocolate ever; I'm allergic to raw citrus--pineapple, orange, grapefruit, lemon and lime; I must sleep with my right foot sticking out of the cover; Favorite flower - Sunflower--they start small and grow strong, they find the light and they are just happy; and, I love Jesus--one of my favorite verses is Proverbs 16:3.
